Reclamation Companies falsely claim reclaimed refrigerant as virgin refrigerant.  Don't be fooled by their misleading sales tactics, reclaimed refrigerant is not true virgin refrigerant.   

When it comes to identifying reclaimed refrigerant, one of the key indicators lies in the style and labeling of the packaging, including the box and cylinder.  These four images are the most common cylinders used by reclaimers. 

 When the recycled refrigerant is bottled up and resold, it's important to note that there is no external regulation or oversight throughout the reclamation process. The honesty and integrity of the reclamation company solely determine the quality of the final product being sold.  

 Studies show that the average life span of a system after topping it off with reclaimed refrigerant is about 24 months.
